2. Personal Data & Location

Halfway Search processes the addresses and coordinates needed to calculate a midpoint, routes and nearby public places. These details are used to provide the requested search and are not transferred to Private Meet.

In Private Meet, each participant submits their own starting point for the private session. One participant's starting point is not displayed to the other. Location data used by the session is temporary and expires with the session.

The browser stores a temporary role capability in local storage so a participant can resume a still-valid Private Meet session in the same browser profile. Invitation links are single-use and should be shared only with the intended participant. Public place information may link to external navigation providers such as Google Maps.

3. Intellectual Property & Credits

Mapping: Location and routing data are provided by OpenStreetMap (OSM).

Display: The map background is provided by Google Maps Platform or Apple Maps depending on your device.

4. Liability

Routes and locations are provided for information purposes only. Kër IT cannot be held responsible for routing errors, establishment closures, or accidents occurring during travel.

5. Limitations & Future Updates

Public Transport: This feature is currently disabled. Real-time multimodal routing services (like Google Transit) represent a significant technical cost. We plan to implement it in the future if there is strong demand from our users.

Reservations: Direct integration with reservation services (like TheFork) is currently under development and will arrive in a future update.

6. Partnerships

Kër IT is actively looking for partners (brands, transport networks, local services) to enrich the Halfy experience.
